Housewarming Gift Ideas is a single-subject site about housewarming gifts. Housewarming shopping is a strange problem: the gift is for a person, but it lives in a space you have probably seen once, and the people who live there have not finished deciding what it looks like. Most guides answer that with candles and decorative objects. We answer it with rooms — entry, kitchen, living, bath, bedroom, outdoor — and with what each one is still missing in the first month.

What we publish is method before merchandise: which room to shop for, what a good version of the one object that room needs actually costs, and how to choose when you have never been inside. Every guide is a buying guide. We have not tested, handled or photographed any product named here, and you will never find an invented test result, price or rating on this site.
